Ice Fishing in Maine

 Although the fishing in N.H. has been good , my family by far enjoys our yearly trip to our camp in Maine. This year our elder son Brian from S.C. joined us for a few days. The fishing was a bit slow but we had fun .

That night we feasted on steam clams and lobster our good friend Rodger caught that day and brought to camp, we had our neighbor Tinker over to partake in our wonderful bounty from the sea

Jo-Lynn got in a little skating, the pond was mostly snow covered

My boys enjoyed watching the eagles eat the pickerel they left on the ice

On this day it was so windy

we had white outs and snow devils blowing across the pond.

the out house just down the path always refreshing this time of year

our sauna  is where we wash , my men folk take great pleasure in taking lots of steam and going for a dunk in the icy water

Zeke cut the ice, and is now cleaning out the dunking hole

this year my daughter and I tried this more shallow hole and it was surprisingly refreshing.

The tip-ups are hung to dry it is time to head back home. You will see a lot of this camp in my blogs , for when ever possible I am there living simply country!

Tea at Granny Annie's

 It is always such a treat to go to one of Granny Annie's elite tea parties.

The food was scrumptious and the tea  delicious!

We all had such a good time.
